This is just random stuff torn from the ccc website, and chucked on my page.
There are a few notes at the bottom.
I’m not sure I could rate this as being high quality. Not yet.
We have Connect Groups ...
Our Connect Groups are designed to C-O-N-N-E-C-T our church family to each other for ...
FUN - FELLOWSHIP - FOOD - FOCUS
The Focus component is usually a Bible study of a Bible chapter or a topic, sometimes with a DVD to help the group "focus". There are groups that meet in the afternoon and evening in different areas of the Coast, and some target specific age groups, so you can be pretty certain that there will be a Connect Group that meets YOUR needs.
For more information please phone Lloyd Dacombe, phone (04) 902 2628.
KidZone
Kidzone is a program run for children aged 3 up to Year 6, where we seek to: "connect kids with God, kids with the Bible, kids with kids, and kids with everyday life"
We do this by providing a loving, safe, fun and engaging environment. We aim to motivate both children and parents to come each week, using games, memory versus, singing, object lessons, and competitions - basically doing what we can to present God's message to the children in varied and exciting ways.
We normally have a large group time, then break into age-based groups all named after Old Testament passages: Noah's Ark, The Red Sea, Daniel's Den, The Belly of a Fish and The Promised Land.
We also have a competition that runs for the year to encourage the children to remember what they learn.
The children advance along the competition by bringing their Bibles and notebooks, learning the memory verses, and bringing their friends.
Kidzone isn't just a program that happens at 10am in another room separate from the main church Sunday Service. We consider it to be a vital part of the church, where we pray the children will all have fun, and most importantly learn more about our awesome God.

For Youth ...
Rock Solid
Rock Solid is a program with emphasis on teaching teens from Year 7 to Year 11. It is held every Sunday morning during the 10am service. We leave the main service part way through, and move out to a youth-focused study group. It's a great time of learning and fun, with plenty of opportunity for the young people to interact with their leaders.
And there is ...
Epic Youth
EPIC YOUTH ("Endless Possibilities In Christ") is a Youth Group held every fortnight on Saturday evenings from 7:30 - 10pm. The main focus of this evening is friendship and fun. It is also a chance for the group members to invite their friends to a non-threatening but informative evening, with a short devotion held at the end. This is suitable for youth from Year 9 through to Year 13.
Contact for either of these programs is Nigel Welch, phone (04) 904 3322 or Elayne Moore, phone (04) 902 0737
Pastoral Care
This Ministry is active in our church in several forms, and is run by a group of people who feel called by God to "caring for the flock", and is supported by the Leadership.
1: We have a visitation group, mainly couples, who are mobilized to visit our church families. Their mission is to encourage, to listen, to pray for any needs or concerns, and get to know you a little better. (God tells us to "encourage and build one another up"). This is a very felxible and informal program - it may be a coffee together, a meal or a home visit, but will always be first initiated by prior contact to arrange a suitable time.
2: We also have people on the team who make themselves available for sudden emergencies that arise from time to time, and who are in a position to activate help and support from a variety of sources.
3: The Pastoral Care team also arranges a luncheon or dinner from time to time, with the express purpose of welcoming new people, having some fellowship over a meal, and hopefully getting to know you a little better.
Be assured that at all times confidentiality is paramount.

Over 50's
The Over 50's group has two objectives:
1: to reach un-churched friends; and
2: to foster fellowship within the group.
We meet on the first Thursday of the month from February to December, usually with a shared lunch at the church, and a short devotion from God's Word. Then we enjoy various activities together, such as indoor bowls and board games, or listen to an invited speaker sharing different topics of interest to our group. We have also enjoyed picnics, a visit to the Ten Pin Bowling Rink, and there have also been mystery bus trips. We finish off the year with a Christmas dinner.
Being a part of this group is a great way to foster friendships among the more mature folk in the church family.

Healing Rooms
The Healing Rooms provide a loving, safe, confidential environment where people can come to receive healing prayer. Some people are healed instantly by a miraculous touch from God. Others receive their healing progressively over a period of days, weeks, or months.
We are committed to pray for as long as it takes, contending for healing until the person is completely well. We minister salvation, physical healing and emotional healing to the complete person (spirit, soul and body.)
Healing Rooms are made up of people from a wide cross-section of churches. A family atmosphere of love and unity permeates the team. As we assemble in small groups of three to pray for the sick, the Holy Spirit can flow through us as a team. There is only one ‘super–star in our midst: Jesus!
Jesus the Healer
We believe as Hebrews 13:8 states that Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever. While He walked this earth He healed the sick and performed miracles. We believe He is the same today and is still doing these things. We pray with that understanding and in the powerful name of Jesus. We believe according to Isaiah 53: 4-5 that Jesus paid for our healing on the cross: “Yet it was our weaknesses he carried; it was our sorrows that weighed him down. And we thought his troubles were punishment from God for his own sins! But he was wounded and crushed for our sins. He was beaten that we might have peace. He was whipped, and we were healed.’ NLT
Multiplying the ministry
Not only are we committed to seeing the sick made well and people being saved, we also want to see Healing Rooms bring blessing to the four corners of the earth. We have found that through the teaching of the Word and the laying on of hands, the healing anointing can be transferred to those willing to be used by God to bring His healing to others.

Community Events...
Because we are a "community" church, we try to involve ourselves in community events whereever we can.
One example: we host a Christmas Day Midday Dinner each year for the lonely and under-privileged in our community.
We also make the church building available to many organisation in the community, for events and meetings. This raises our profile and makes the church environment less intimidating to those who may not normally attend a place of worship.
Alpha...
This is a structured program that has received world-wide acceptance among churches and organisations. It gives people an opportunity to explore the principles and truth of Christianity in an informal non-threatening environment. We run this program in homes on a regular basis, accompanied by a meal and congenial fellowship.
We have found this program a very practical and encouraging way to introduce Jesus to many who have questions. Both Christian and non-Christians can participate in this program.

Alpha Marriage Program...
Pre Marriage Counselling...
To start your marriage off on a firm foundation we offer and recommend the Alpha Pre-Marriage course for couples preparing for marriage. This is done one on one with a married couple in a time frame that suits both parties.
It consists of 6 sessions with DVD assistance and written back-up material. The program is non-threatening, open and encouraging.

Marriage Enrichment
We believe that marriage is one of the most important relationships that we can ever experience and that strong Christian marriages are the underpinning strength to family and society.
Periodically we run Marriage Enrichment programs for couples. This is an 8-session program and run generally over eight weeks. It is a non-confrontational program, with six to eight couples attending each program.
How does it work?
Like the Alpha program, you start with a meal, only this time it is a 'Candle Lit' dinner, followed by music, a DVD and booklets, and discussion opportunities in private with you and your partner only, so your privacy is assured. (This is not a group discussion program).

Missions...
Local Visits ... Rest Home Visitation
This ministry's mission statement says that "we are to go into all the world and take the gospel of Jesus Christ to those who are 'shut in' ".
Our group visits three rest homes each month. The programme mainly targets those who are no longer able to attend church on a regular basis. It is also a very good opportunity to speak to those who, for whatever reason, have never felt the need for Jesus to be a part of their lives. It is never too late!
We try to keep as much to a regular church service format as possible, with hymns and scripture readings, and a short devotional. After the service we talk individually to each one who attends as we are able, and often visit the sick as well.
This is a most rewarding outreach, and we welcome inquiries from those wanting to join us. If that is you then the contact is:
Heather A'Court, phone 293-2583
Local ... Parents and Pre-Schoolers
PLAY GROUP runs on Monday mornings 9am-11.30 during school terms. There is a small charge, which covers sandwiches and drinks for the children, while the adults indulge with 'real' coffee and nice (sometimes chocolate) biscuits.
During the session we have a music time and all are invited to participate, and there is a reading room for those who don't feel like grooving with the group! There are a variety of activities to occupy the young minds... play-dough, painting, craft, bikes, roller coasters, prams, dress-ups, books, cars and puzzles, sometimes the Mums and Dads have a bit of fun too...
There are excellent parenting magazines and books, and we try to provide a nice place where parents can talk and get advice and encouragement from others.
If you have any children aged 1 month to 5 years and are currently sitting at home wondering what to do on a Monday morning, why not come along and have some fun!

Off Shore Missions ...
We believe a church receives immense blessing from being involved in global mission. At Coast Community Church our involvement in global mission is by way of:
Regular financial support to a number of mission partners and ministries.
Prayer support. Missionary prayer requests often feature in our weekly Church newsletter.
Promotion of short-term mission opportunities. These enable our members to see something firsthand of life in another culture and to engage with our brothers and sisters there in both practical and spiritual ministries.
While your participation in a short-term mission trip may be a great blessing and encouragement to people of another culture, the greatest blessing and impact could well be in your own life. To learn more about our church involvement in short-term missions speak with Neville and Rosemarie Forman, phone 902-3551.
Our last project involved a team visit to Fiji, on a building project - and this is what they did !
[[[I was there for the fundraiser for the orphanage visit to China, it was Natalie Hymer's who went to that.]]]
[[[I was there with Jenna, Amanda, Rachael, Amanda, Philip. I actually can't remember exactly who!
But anyway, at the fundraiser, which was a quiz night with other games, we won it. Haha. We did well on the questions, and also build the biggest tower out of masking tape, beating a team of engineers and architects in the other table. It was a good night, but back hurt (presumably because of cell tower attacks).]]]
Extra note: I actually talked to Jo Dacombe about my cfs, and she said that she had had MS and been healed by God after the elders of a previous church had prayed for her. The progression of it had stalled. And yeah. So that is her thing. She and her husband started a thing, a healing rooms?
I think that she and he divorced, but idk.
She used to drive me to church.
Her husband was at the morning elder’s meeting when I asked the elders to pray for me. This is a thing I want to talk about in my main story. I have it written down on paper, but I haven’t got to it yet!
She used to work at rbnz, now works for autism nz.
You can look up her linked in profile elsewhere.
She is actually the sort of person I went to for advice and help, because she was one of the deacons, or perhaps one of the elder’s wives.
