Where does cleverness come from?
Where in the world does cleverness come from?
Brightwater.
Literally, Brightwater NZ.
I have a point to make, but I don’t know if I can make it. It just comes from where it comes from. The wisdom, intelligence, scientific knowledge, cleverness, inventiveness… it just comes from wherever it comes from. It is often distributed throughout places like the UK, British Empire, former British empire, former British colonies and other such places. But mostly those populated by the English and Scottish people. The Germans also are pretty prominent.
That is where cleverness is to be found. Often combined with universities of the Anglo variety.
But outside of this grouping: other sets of people are super smart, and you can find very high levels of intelligence and inventiveness. We the English, Scottish, Welsh people and colonies and former empire don’t have a monopoly…
What else? Who else? The Swedes, Swiss and French are pretty good. As are Austrians, Hungarians and Norwegians. And the Germans as a whole (outside of the Germans that became part of the Anglo-Scots world, like Midwest USA). Jews as well (they are no smarter, but they often work harder, and it show). But just think about the UK, British Empire, Former Empire, former colonies for a bit. Especially those parts full of English, Scottish and Welsh people. Germans have to be included as people within this context, because they swamped the USA in the 19th century. And just think.

First step: read Ernest Rutherford, a frontier genius. It’s a good book. It is not a burden to read it.
And then check out the great ideas in science lecture series, and the Industrial Revolution series that I have linked to elsewhere. They are available on the great courses by Amazon. Stephen L Goldman, and Patrick N Allit. They’re so easy, you can help but enjoy them and learn from them.
I’m aiming to give you real knowledge, not to cause you pain. And I’m aiming to help you to develop real understanding, not to argue you into submission.

On second thoughts, this page sucks. I might kill it.
