Libertarian Stuff

I have decided to switch to libertarianism.

Libertarian stuff:

I used to be one. And I guess that I am one now. I have no idea if that is going to do me any good. I basically just want to be left alone. And I feel that other people ought to have the option of being left alone. I also feel that problem solvers need to able to solve problems.

Next, I suspect that the physics/tech and other aspects of the world we live in imply a radically new style of governance within the next couple of years. What we have going on in the world right now will probably collapse soon.

Belief system:

I don't have one of those.

I used to be a Christian, and some of those attitudes, perspectives and ideas remain. But I am not going to tell you which ones.

I am not a Taoist or a Buddhist.

I have some fondness for stoicism, Zoroastrianism, neoclassical economics, Terry Pratchett and some of the works of Ayn Rand. But I am not any of those.

I think that I was put into the wrong category. For both my political ideology and belief system.

I need to recover:

To do that I need to walk lots, do mini squats, read and listen to music unmolested.

After two or three months, I will want to get some lightweight dumbbells or something.

It might take me about 1-2 years to fully recover (mind and body). I am in pretty bad shape.

Other stuff to do with ideology:

I am sympathetic to the beliefs of social democracy. New Zealand was robbed of a lot of assets in the past. Also, I used to read The Standard, and Chris Trotter's blog, Bowalley Road. These influenced my point of view quite a bit.

I like classical liberalism also. I used to call myself one. I am picking libertarianism, and I say that classical liberalism is good too. I don't want to be a social Democrat at the moment. It is too weird to be one. And Grant Robertson is a very bad person. Jacinda Ardern is also a very bad person (for different reasons - I.E. too flippant, irresponsible and not competent enough to be in cabinet. "Your treatment was state sanctioned").

I probably shouldn't have been sorted into being a "Chinese aligned socialist" in the first place. Nor should they have classified me as being a Taoist, Buddhist. Nor should they have suggested that I was practising "reverse social engineering" as my ideology. However, I don't think that I can tell the whole story right now. I might not get the chance anytime soon. I would love to tell my story, including a fair and reasonable account of how my views and ideas developed, changed, and were shaped over time. Maybe someday?

I probably should've been described as having no real, set ideology.

I shouldn't have to switch ideologies, because I didn't really sign up for the ideologies that they pretend I did in the first place.

But all the same, I am switching to libertarianism.
